Smiling from within (Because I Knew)

My first day in the plant to make my sauce I was happily surprised that I was the only company in the "Shared Kitchen" so I had time to get acquainted with the facility. After an hour or so, while I stood over the heated stove/range stirring my ingredients, of no surprise to me, the aroma of the sauce permeated throughout the room, and I must say, a very large kitchen with multiple workstations. An aroma that takes me back to my childhood when my Dad would make the sauce in our family home --- truly unforgettable.
Anyway, two guys came in from the front entrance and "immediately" started saying, "Wow, what is that smell", "Oh my goodness, that smells so good", "What are you making?". To experience their reaction over the aroma was delightful but not surprising (because I knew). They then spent the next 30 minutes, on and off, asking me "what's in it?" and attempting to guess at the ingredients, as if I would divulge a family "secret"...seriously. Really!!! I tried redirecting the conversation by asking them about their line of business, given that they, too, are in a shared kitchen facility. They said that they make "Cheese" and sell their product locally. They finally left promising that they will figure out what's in [the sauce]. No, they won't!
